Greetings my ardent IV members,
As of today, you have less than one month left of classes. Time is short, but it always was. Make the most of it.
Just some thoughts from me. We've been contemplating just what our chapter's purpose and ministry here on campus is. Ask yourself this: What do you want to see happen on campus? More specifically, what do you want to see God do on campus?
Really? Then pray for it, and ask God to make you part of His answer to that prayer, and expect great things.
Me, I want to see Christians reaching out to each other and supporting one another in love, encouraging each other to grow closer to the Lord and love Him more. I want to see Christians reaching out in love to their campus and community with the message of hope found in Jesus Christ. That is my prayer, as well that God would permit me to be a part of His work, and that He makes me ready.
We'll talk more at Basileia. See you there. :)
-Jon
P.S. I still pray for you all.

Basileia cometh!
Hello people!
Just wanted to check back in and give you all an update from the inside. God has really blessed us with some amazing ideas this semester, and it's been great for exec to see the humanitarian efforts of Love146 & Invisible Children come to campus. It is awesome to have Christians show God's love for people through supporting things like those.
Don't forget that Basileia comes soon! We'll be heading there May 10-15 & having an awesome time. I was told over & over last year (when I was still in the dark about the amazingness of the retreat) that I COULD NOT miss it. It is one of those things that, if you haven't done it yet, you will plan your summer around for years to come. Last year I did the Encountering Jesus track - taught by Greg Jao (WOOT!) and an in-depth look into the REAL Jesus as per the Gospel of Mark. So sign up...God is good, Saranac is beautiful, and the food, well, mmm tastiness!
Also, we really do want to have your feedback. People are getting involved, bringing things up for us to involve in - the humanitarian efforts, the Fellowship of Christian athletes small group, all great things that we couldn't do without your help and vision. As exec, we hope that you all come to understand why we as Intervarsity do what we do - it's not just a great Friday night, or great outreach event, we are out to change our campus for God's glory.
So thank you again for a great semester so far, and until Basileia, TTFN!

Hi!
Hi Everonye,
My name's Adam and apparently you all thought I'd be able to do a good job as large group coordinator, so here I am. I'm pretty excited about this and looking forward to workign with and serving RPI and Russell Sage students this semester.
I 've got a lot of great ideas (some from me; most from others) and am hoping to make large group a place where both Chrisitians and nonbelievers can feel comfortable having fun and growing closer to God.
I'm always open to suggestions, whether it be for speakers, post-events, or how large group is run. And can always use more members on the large group team, if you want to play a more direct role.
My email is hardya@rpi.edu. Send me some mail!
Yours,
Adam

Andre Kole
On January 29th, 2008 a magician named Andre Kole will be coming to the Capital District to put on a show called Magic with a Message and it would be a great time to invite friends and class mates to the show. We'll be setting up rides that will leave from the Union horse shoe and head to the University of Albany campus to the Page hall. If you would like to go or want more information, contact me at maceb@rpi.edu I'll be adding information to the calendar shortly.

El Presidente
Greetings, friends.
I've now gone from being prayer coordinator to president. A weighty task, to be certain. It's an honor that you would consider me as capable to assume this responsibility. I will keep my love of prayer (all my days) going strong, and encouraging my fellows to seek God and see His works in that way.
In my opinion , you can trust your new exec team. I've seen them in action, and they've got the right stuff.
One thing I will also encourage this year is holiness. You could call it sanctification if you like, but I'd call it doing what's right and not doing what's wrong. If you're curious as to why I think it's important, just ask me, or skip the middle man and look it up in your Bible, because that's where I got the idea from.
[4 days until Leader's Days :) ]

Worship Team
Hello Everybody
I just wanted to introduce myself and let everyone know some of the plans that I have for worship this semester. I'm Brooke O'Donnell and I am the worship coordinator. I'm very excited about this semester. I have a great team and a couple of others in mind to add to the team. I have a list of new songs to try, as well as some different arrangements of songs. I also plan on asking Diagnosis Free and possibly another band to come in and do a worship hour for us. I also think it would be great to take night and do an hour of prayer. Song requests? Let me know and I will see what I can do about it! I hope everyone is enjoying the semester so far.

Small Groups
Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to introduce myself as the new Small Group Coordinator of RCA and remind everyone how awesome Small Groups are. Small Groups meet weekly to discuss the Word of God and explore how it can be applied to their everyday lives; they have a great time in the process. Sign ups are going on now and SGs will start the third week of classes. You can sign up at Large Group this coming Friday or contact me with any questions (hettij@rpi.edu).

Welcome to 2008!
Hey RCA!
So this is my first attempt at blogging, and thought it would be nice to get something up on the dash. The new exec & I are quite excited about this year. If you're not all sure who I'm talking about, check out the "Our Leaders" page on the RCA website. So have a great beginning of your semester & we'll be seeing you around! Remember that none of us on exec bite (hard anyway) :)
